light up this fight club song: mindfully fiercely in F#

[dip your wick into the ocean
coated thick in tar ball lies
bring about a revolution
light it up behind your eyes]

take a step into your future
move your feet on your demand
place your mind in what is heart sure
be complete in where you stand

[chorus]

what is held out from the center
is returned and paid in full
by compound’d interactions
undefaulted – never dull

[chorus]

plant a garden from the harvest
of the bounty of the heart
so those hunger’d weeds of joyless
moments will not get a start

[chorus]

in the falling of these fiery rains
on cresting waves of novelty
in this standing moment stake a claim
and bring about it clean and free

[dip your wick into the ocean
coated thick in tar ball lies
bring about an evolution
light it up behind your eyes]

a year of prevention is worth a pounded world brought low: arpeggio in F sharp

the showers of late april are coming to our lives
the flowers of a week in may will be so many lies
in june the lies might heat up to a white hot fever’d pitch
july could start as dogs of war go chasing down their bitch
and august may find some that cannot be believed
september comes and goes and so will never be retrieved
october is a month that will seem hard to argue with
so haters in november can fill our skies with death
the fallout in december could take away your breath
and january birthdays may bring new players into play
so february can be seen as more than shortened days
and in the march of seasons may your hearts be full and true
this calendar of reasons must be forestalled, if i were you

an oath of office – dereliction of duty pledge: laughingly non-public in B flat

we don’t eat that same food
we sell, made and stamped untrue
that keeps your body healthless
and makes peasants out of you.

we still don’t go to your schools
even though we force you to
that keep your simple minds unfilled
and makes peasants out of you.

we crafted our own health plan
that just a few of us can have
and we won’t pay your doctors
and we’ll tax your homemade salve.

we’ve got all of these bennies
that you will never see
and all our wars your kids fight
so we can tell you that you’re free.

we’ve poisoned all your water
and we regulate your wells
so you’ll keep on working for us
and still buy the crap we sell,

for the good of all the best ones
who’ve run this country through
just stay at home and be scared
we’re making peasants out of you.

WTP -911- Private Properly Epilated

Private Properly Epilated

When the proud words get stronger than wretched holes of  abjectified fear,
the ones owning the larger field of play will fumigate
and process the meta[bc]olyte in novel and entertaining ways…
after all it is absurdio ad reductum carbon-based in that last abstract for the few.

When the puerile words get harsher than rationalities of disinfoed gorging troughs,
the ones owning the larger feedlot will cull privatized properly
and overcharge the trailered tazered PRV  (populi reductum vehicle)
consens(-us) will be announced <but not> with shinyfresh balloons, digitally rising – a day new.

When the pained words get sadder than what blind unseasoned anger can pronounce
the ones owning the larger shared pool of mercs will deploy
terminally malleable teams and render caesar’s own masses into tallow
sallow with apathetic mewlings of Idol  eyed surprise, niggling nearawareness into view.

We kill All our Heros – We the People X

We seem to have an unfortunate habit… We kill all our heros
with our praises and adulations. our fears borne by challenged indifference.
We skim off the cream and whip it good and blend it til marginalized and
then with its faux imitative qualities scum rises to the top to fill a void.

The voices of our heros are no longer heard unless You Tube
in that vast ocean of other peoples memories and super8 vids
– kind of like surfing in man-of-war infested waters.
A great wave posthumously paying the cost of a million stinging welts
to tumble us onto pounded sand, ripped and bloody,
where we daub on ourselves our homogenized salve,
our distilled tincture of outrageous hope, cut with catchy tunes of
this weeks cover band:

slight affects include and may cause
loss of critical thought,
sleepless horrors,
regimented acceptance of internments,
neighborly informants,
officiously subsidized dopes
and waste watcher purging.

We hardly listened when we had them, before we killed all our heros,
and then usually to better mock them and ridicule their clothes
or hair and take exception to their nose or
make fun of them as they walked us where we might
see a sunrise bathing us in joyous light.
We called some of them hypocrit as they lived their birthright
and laughed and booed them when they told us
our bread was moldy, our circus was a sham, our cupboard bare.

We killed all our heros and now eagerly await a new crop,
their own crap not yet in evidence lockers, saying
this time is different,
this time it will be done better, on TV as it is in real life.

and we sit nodding heads in time to the soothing sound bites
and pretty power pointed pictures.

An Open Letter to the United States Supreme Court:

I urge the nine of you to very, very carefully consider the choice you almost certainly will be asked to make in the coming weeks. There exists a discrepancy amongst your other co-equal branches of this government that is, most likely, going to be presented in your court for your consideration. The details of this discrepancy should not need to be addressed at this point, although they should by now be making all of you extremely nervous. I would think you would have to be under heavy medication not to realize this. If you are under such medication and if there is any shred of honor, respect for truth and the concept of justice resonant within you, I would urge you to consider recusing yourself immediately from further rulings on anything followed by your announcement that in order to “spend more quality time with distant relatives” a public resignation be made to be effective immediately. If, however, you are not under such medication, and do not choose to abdicate your constitutionally mandated duty, then please read carefully.

There are, in this country, at this point in time, millions of citizens who are distraught and so very tired of the antics, conditions and assaults to which they have been exposed in the previous nearly seven years. This should be so obvious to anyone who has not been comatose or who has not been furthering some complicit agenda during this time period as to not need further explication.  In fact, your decisions precipitated this. By your votes you selected a person which the group known as We The People did not elect by our votes, and you allowed this person to take an office to which he was not entitled and whose performance while resident in that office have shown an utter disregard and vile contempt for the oath of that office.

This selected resident of one of your co-equal branches of these United States’ government apparently has chosen and continues to choose to hide his and his co-residents’ (in my opinion – treasonous and impeachable) actions from the other, third co-equal branch’s constitutionally prescribed oversight and their obligations to the Constitution and to the general public of these United States. This is a problem. This is a problem which you may be called upon to rule upon and thereby possibly rectify. I urge you to carefully and comprehensively consider this problem as probably the most important one you will ever be asked to consider and upon which you may be asked to pass judgment.

This is a problem, the repercussions of which may not be visible yet, for hundreds of millions of your fellow citizens, and, as this country influences other countries which share this planet in, at times uneasy, co-existence, for billions of your fellow humans. This problem is not a trivial, unimportant theatrical production or attention getting spectacle as some have called it. This problem will most probably be your one defining decision, for which there may not any appeal possible. This decision, if you are asked to make it and choose to accept your responsibility to do so wisely, can either allow this country to begin a healing process that will take many additional years to complete, or plunge this country, and by extension this world, into a long, dark, horrifically tragic and totally unnecessary future.

This is an earnest and sincere plea to the nine of you. This is not a partisan or politically motivated request. It is not a demand and it is most certainly not a threat. It is merely one individual’s heartfelt beseeching to reason, honesty and the Law as embodied in that document that has for so long been the guiding light of this great Republic – The Constitution of These United States.

Thank you for your prompt consideration of this matter.
a fellow citizen, and concerned member of We The People

Sisters of Light – We The People VIII

There once were three sisters of light
who’d been in a terrible fight.

The tall one with the torch
is locked forlorn on her porch;

as her sister, the blind one,
raped, outstretched, undone
lays naked and shivers in late summer’s sun;

the third and the oldest,
– the used to be boldest
– the one they thought coldest
before,
she’s been roughly mistreated
overwhelmed and unseated
by two filthy bastards and lies they’ve repeated.

Now, if you’re just fine with this story
of three sisters made bloody and gory
then stay on your couch and just sit there and stare
when we finally march you don’t need to be there.

but, if anger and outrage are some things that you feel
By All Means!
come stand on the stage We’ve got a dictatorship to repeal.

(thank you to Theodor Geisel)
